Important East West Update: Byron Katie rescheduled to Sept! Remaining March Events Postponed, Updated Business Hours, Requesting Your Support

Dear friends,

Firstly, we want you to know that we at East West are praying every day for your physical safety and for your emotional and spiritual well-being during this challenging time.

Great News: For those of you who are signed up for Byron Katie’s March workshop or for those of you who are interested in attending, we are grateful to be able to announce that the event has been successfully rescheduled to Sunday, September 13, 2020 from 10-5:30pm at the beautiful venue, Town Hall in Seattle. For more information click here.

In addition to Katie’s workshop reschedule, we are also announcing that we are postponing all of our remaining March events, based on guidance from public health officials trying to slow the spread of COVID-19.

If feasible, we are asking presenters to offer their events as tele/video conference so that you can still attend the event from the comfort of your own home.

Lastly, we feel it’s important to tell you that this pandemic has had a strong impact on our sales. Regular in-store sales have fallen 80% in the last week as the situation has escalated.

Our goal is, as ever, is to stay open as much as possible in these coming weeks to continue to offer this space of consciousness-upliftment to the greater Seattle area. In a gathering last May at one of our events, several customers told us that they consider East West to be their “church” or “sanctuary” and emphasized to us how important the store has been for them. We, too, feel that East West serves the region as a special sanctuary and we are committed to keeping it that way, despite this outbreak.

As a consequence of the pandemic, we need to alter our store hours. But we will stay open as much as we can! Effective Saturday, March 14, East West will be open from 11am-7pm Mon-Sat, and 12pm-7pm on Sunday through the end of the month, March 31. These new hours will be posted on our website.

We respect those who have decided to conscientiously stay home for health reasons, but need to communicate that now more than ever we need your support! If you can’t come in and shop, check out our new online bookstore with select featured titles and please consider donating here.

Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time. We look forward to being able to see you at your next visit!

Please contact us at hello@eastwestbookshop.com if you have any questions!

Wishing you calmness, strength, and health. We are one big East West family, always there for one another!

Strength and Joy,
