Malachite is a beautiful stone used by the ancient Egyptians as far back as 4000 bc, as a talisman for protection from negative energies. Malachite is always green. Varying from light green to very dark green, almost black. Malachite is usually seen, having layers of alternating shades of green or with concentric circles, appearing as eyes.
Malachite is commonly known as a stone of protection and offers its assistance in a variety of ways. It strengthens our natural layer of protection, as it fills the auric field. Offering a “cloak of invisibility” from those who wish to harm us. Simultaneously, activating our psychic senses to feel the presence of danger as it appears. Malachite is reported to protect against radiation and remove pollution from the environment, as it absorbs energy. The absorbing action of Malachite makes it especially important to clean your stones regularly. This action also assists in drawing out and releasing negative energy, old patterns, traumas and repressed feelings from both the conscious and the subconscious. Removing blocks to our progression along the way.
Malachite clears and activates all the chakras. As a stone of transformation, it is particularly helpful in opening and activating the heart and throat chakras. Assisting us with our spiritual evolution. Opening the heart chakra, allows us greater clarity in receiving guidance from our heart and soul, resulting in a more optimistic outlook. Opening the throat chakra, assists us in speaking our truths more easily. This leads to more honest communication, bringing our relationships to a higher vibrational level. Malachite actually improves communication throughout the body, on a cellular level. Which promotes harmony and health on both a physical and spiritual level.
The best Malachite jewelry, ie. necklaces and bracelets, allows the stones contact with the skin. Small pocket stones or a larger stone in the room will have a powerful effect as well.
*Note - Malachite should be used only in its polished form as it can be toxic in its raw form (the dust is dangerous to breathe in). Its best to keep malachite away from the eyes/nose just to be safe.
